Err, go back can find a lot of friends, and meet a lot of relatives.
Can watch TV...should be a lot of series and dramas, hehe...
Then, what else? can hang around lar, go shopping in KLCC, MidValley, Times Square...whatever, just simply hang around. (haha, but this is not of my favor lar...just a suggestion)
Hmm, can go Redang, Tioman, Taman Negara, Genting, Langkawi...:p
Ah, if possible, you guys can go back to the "renovated" cemara/akasia...but i bet you don't want to see all those kiasu faces in ATU 11...shit, those coming to Umich are the kiasu ones!!! Can't bear with them ler...always bombard others (not me, thank God) with tons of questions, very petty and minor issues. Like it's cheaper to buy instant noodles in US or M'sia? Heck, of course when you convert it will be much expensive in US...And questions like...do i need to bring pillow/rice cooker/....Hmm, the best thing, bring your parents along and they will be more than happy to help you settle down. Perhaps ask your mum stay here and cook for you!!!!!
Well, these ques are still bearable. There are stuffs like "How to register for classes? What classes should I take? Will it be easy?..." Heck, you will know more about these issues when you arrive, what for asking so much? There are academic advisors to help you out!!!!!Ask related but not overboard ques...Don't expect to know every single thinf out here in US, you'll know once you come...Another annoying thing is...if you want to ask someone a ques, please just ask that person. But those kiasu ones are sending out tons of emails and asking tons of people about the same ques, heck, what does this imply? I just can't tahan with their kiasu-ness...

Oopsy, I digress a lot lerh, how come huh? Blame those kiasu people lar. :p

well renjie u made me feel bad. b4 i come to davis i did email my senior to ask some questions. i think she helped a lot because i knew nothing about davis and each of her email was very valuable to me. we as seniors should always help the juniors right. since our seniors have helped us a lot. this is their first time coming to US.. forgive them la. i agree that many of them are kiasu but not everyone is like that. btw, in my opinion instant noodles are cheaper here. haha. just that malays can't eat coz it's not halal.

Yeah, I agree with you that seniors should help juniors to expose them to the life and situation here in US. But, haha, maybe those coming to Umich are too kiasu that not many of us can bear with them. shhh, don't tell them, hahaha. It's kinda annoying at times. Anyway, hehe, will try my best to change my perception on them la. Frankly, the first day I saw all these ATU 11 guys, haha, the impression that they gave me was KIASU. Well, maybe this is just limited to those actuarial science students. :-D

Yeah.. biotech students are always good! hahaha ren jie u can't fight us.. u r alone here!

Ha, I'm not trying to fight, nor am I intending to fight. :-) Hehe, for sure I know that you guys are good people, if not, I won't befriend you all. :p Hehe, birds of a feather flock together. Bu then, there is an intense debate regarding UCDavis and RIT....hehe, wooen alone is trying to defend RIT. But then, I don't see clearly what she intends to do, to promote RIT and encourage more juniors to go there, or to discourage them to go RIT? Confused ler.
Haha, hope wearn and wooen won't have a "fight" on whether UCD or RIT is better. All unis are good, at least, we are sent to the so-called "American Top Universities".

hehe..UCD and RIT are both good schools, because we are there!! :P
haiya..there are different kind of people in this world, we cant blame them for having such narrow thoughts or being kiasu..

    kekeeke(coughing..)
According to Plato, there are three elements in a person's life. I should say, three common goals of life.
first one, to obtain materialistic satisfaction.
second, to be respected by others.
    third, to know the truth.

usually people ignore the third goal..Desire of outdoing others is human nature, we cant blame people for being tenacious..hehe..

Recom,hehe..yah..wooen is alone, but i am not gonna post anything there. it's a sad place..the opinions are not entirely opinions, so many attacks are going on there. I prefer to be the third person standing beside, not because i dont care, just because i dont want to get into the mess and lose myself at last..hahahahhaha.

well, i discourage them coming here, i dun want RIT turn out to be packed with Malaysians in college of science. I like the atmosphere here now..

Hehe, U of M is a good school too, coz ren jie is there (forgot to say at the beginning, sorry yah. :P)

Hehe..i know dr pough is actually a nice person, just that his friendliness does not work for me when it comes to his organization of exams.. :( :( :(

Wooen's post is meaningful..i like it. RIT is my first choice too.

I love my economic instructor, a man with witty remarks. A born economist in my heart! love him love him love him.. :P

Haha, I don't want to see a war between RIT and UCD lerh...Each school has its own attractions, so, no point comparing. But, if you guys want to compare Ivy League, yeah, we can't deny that UCD is one of the ivies. But seriously, I also don't like many juniors coming over to Umich. But what I know is that, again, there will be a hell bunch of them flocking to Umich. Heck! And, a lot of them will be the kiasu actuarial science students...My goodness... I just don't feel like seeing these faces, and don't feel like turning Umich into a Malaysian kampung. There are too many of us here already, and it doesn't really help to widen our circle of friends, as we tend to cluster together...No point having a lot Malaysians around when you are in US, right? Then might as well study in Malaysia. Haha, say clever only, but never do it. :p
Don't know ler, Umich...hai, it should be a better place, but then, the presence of somebody makes it not so good...haha, shit, I'm biased again. :p

hey ren jie who's that somebody? hehe i am very interested! btw, ucd is not an ivy.. but i still like it. just like wooen shien xin like rit. so u should like umich too right? :)

Yeah, I like Umich, definitely, hehe...I think all of us like our own unis, don't we? Even though i always complain the dorm food sucks, the weather is too cold, the lecturers sucks at times, the heavy workload....hehe, but then, it's a place i need to stay for 4 years, so, must love it, if not, I'll be suffering for 4 years! But basically, hehe, I like it lar :-)
The somebody arh, hehe, not nice to say over here kua, guess that someone might stumble upon this blog, and then, BANG, our gossips will be known. :p Ask me personally lar, but i think shien they all will roughly guess who the somebody is/are. Hehe...
