Wow, this is really nice!!!! I think it'll be really an awesome sight if i were to be at the place, having good time in the sea of flowers!!!!!!!! That will be so so great!
Yeah, spring has come! The flowers start to blossom, hehe, but then, just at the beginning lar, not really many flowers yet, and the grass, isn't green enough too...But, but, this is an indicator that winter is over! Yay!!!

There you go, ren jie, you should take some biology courses. hehe.
There are two general classifications of flowering plants. One is long-day plant and one is short-day plant.
Long day plants flower if they get more sunshine..usually in the spring and summer because days are longer than nights. Short-day plants flower if only if they stay long enough in dark.
However, night (darkness) is the main factor which affects the flowering process, not the length of day. So basically long day plants are also short night plants. Similarily, short day plants are long night plants.
The phenomena which the plants depends on the exposure of light in order to flower is called photoperiodism? i forgot the spelling..sth like that..wahahahahahahahhaa..
I think tulip is a long day plant. :P
Interesting huh.. ("-___-)

Tulip is 郁金香, isn't it? Hmm, yea, it sounds interesting...Bio is actually interesting, but not to memorize those names like the animalia, the genus, and stuff (can't remember what else, LOL, the last time I touched Bio is in July 2003, :p)
Anyone minds explaining vernalization to me? Hehe, this is a bio discussion! A place to gain knowledge, haha...

However weather and light are not the sole factors which affect flowering. There is a hormone called Florigen. However, this hormone has not yet been successfully extracted by scientists. Experiments show that florigen exists , just that its chemical structures cannot be figured out up to now.
